- The unit is clean and the property appears well maintained. I do think it has a lot of special safety measures in place. Only one of the two gates worked the first weekend that I went to move stuff in (the gate that was harder for me to access of course is the one that was working - not sure if it is fixed), the building smelled "skunky" the second day. I am sure the people that are checking you in have a routine they have to follow but seemed like a waste of time to have to drive to look at the size of the unit to confirm it was the right size (I went through the figuring and registration online), drive back to get a sales pitch on the packing materials and insurance (which you need to check with your insurance company - mine did a comparison and the only things PS gave were vermin protection up to $250 and a lower deductible than was on my homeowners) and sign the acknowledgements.
