- The online leasing process was great, and a contactless move in was very convenient and flexible. I recommend using the lock provided, it's easier and fits the hardware perfectly.

- The storage facility is average. Clean and secure. Nice touch was a bag in the unit with a lock, paperwork and even a cutter to open the lock package. Customer service was great. Answered all of my questions and even checked on me when I was there to be sure that I was all set.

- The customer service people who helped me setup the rental, Lewis & Ronald, were very helpful & patient with my questions. The only thing they didn't mention was the need to bring your own lock for the unit. The only reason I mention it is to suggest that it be mentioned just in case people in rushed, stressful situations forget the obvious like me!
The on-site local property manager very kindly solved the problem by selling one to me. It just threw me off when my movers called me & said they couldn't get into the unit when I was rushing to get there. This move was setup within a few hours and so I didn't have time to think through some of the obvious. The service provided by both the local manager & the customer service line overall was excellent! Thank You.

Find a Storage Unit For Rent Near You
A & J Boat Storage 840 Point Rd, Marion, MA 02738 508-748-2800
Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Marion, Massachusetts is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout Massachusetts, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Marion, Massachusetts.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.
Are there free storage deals in Marion, Massachusetts?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Marion?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
Marion is a coastal town in Plymouth County, Massachusetts, so storage demand often rises in summer when seasonal residents and boating groups arrive. Much of the town centers on Sippican Harbor and Buzzards Bay, so storage facilities near waterfront neighborhoods often see higher demand for sailing gear and beach equipment.
Commercial storage demand varies by season, as tourism- and boating-related businesses expand inventory in warmer months and reduce it during the shoulder seasons, which affects overall unit availability. Major roads such as U.S. Route 6 and Interstate 195 provide primary access to vehicle-sized storage, making nearby locations more appealing for storing vehicles or boats during the off-season.
If you plan to store household items near residential areas in East Marion or along Point Road, check the Town of Marion Zoning Bylaw regulations to confirm whether on-site portable storage containers are allowed at your address. Some properties near coastal conservation areas have limits on placing temporary storage units outdoors, including private driveways. Contact the Marion Building Department at 2 Spring Street before scheduling delivery.
When storing vehicles near the coastline in Marion, such as near Sippican Harbor or off Front Street, watch for salt-air exposure, especially in outdoor or partially covered units. Indoor units farther inland, near Route 6, help reduce long-term corrosion risk. Climate control helps, but storing items and vehicles away from saltwater areas provides an additional layer of protection.
