- We received phone calls verifying our appointment and the Francine was helpful over the phone and in person. She helped choose the right size unit, and assisted us on some extra supplies. Security is very important to us and we could the monitors. I like that you have to put your code into everything, including the bathroom. Having indoor parking to unload is a plus in case the weather is inclement. The lighting is great and the storage unit is very clean. We also like that the hours are not short.

- This place is good, but when I went in, the price they told me in the office was higher than the price listed on SpareFoot. They had mandatory extra fees that they added to the listed SpareFoot price, so I was unhappy about that. But then they gave me a discount, so it was okay.

Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Redondo Beach, California is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout California, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Redondo Beach, California.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.
Are there free storage deals in Redondo Beach, California?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Redondo Beach?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
Redondo Beach is a coastal city along the Pacific Ocean, and its location near the shoreline leads to higher humidity than inland parts of Los Angeles County. Average relative humidity usually ranges from 60 to 75 percent because of the marine layer, especially overnight and in the morning. This coastal setting raises the risk of moisture exposure for stored items, especially in areas west of Pacific Coast Highway. Storage demand in Redondo Beach is influenced by limited residential space because many residents live in apartments or townhomes instead of single-family homes.
Storage unit pricing reflects land scarcity and zoning limits since most of the city is already built out. Properties closer to the coastline or west of CA-1 see higher demand because of dense residential zoning and limited garage space. Traffic congestion along Artesia Boulevard and Aviation Boulevard affects how often renters visit their storage units during peak commute times. Demand rises during the summer, when residential moves increase across the city.
Renters in multi-family housing often choose smaller unit sizes, since this housing type makes up a large share of Redondo Beach’s residential stock. Areas near North Redondo Beach and east of Aviation Boulevard contain more apartment complexes, which increases demand for smaller storage units. Coastal humidity can damage items like upholstered furniture and paper goods when stored for long periods. Local renters often prioritize easy unit access because street parking near residential buildings is limited.
Commercial storage demand in Redondo Beach reflects the city’s focus on small businesses instead of large industrial areas. Business corridors near Artesia Boulevard and areas along Hawthorne Boulevard drive demand for larger storage units used for equipment staging and record storage. Interest in vehicle storage grows because many residential neighborhoods lack driveway and curb space. Being near major routes like CA-1 reduces travel time when businesses access stored equipment or records.
