- This place is good, but when I went in, the price they told me in the office was higher than the price listed on SpareFoot. They had mandatory extra fees that they added to the listed SpareFoot price, so I was unhappy about that. But then they gave me a discount, so it was okay.

- Was looking for a unit to store some stuff for work. I checked out the one over on Sepulveda and unfortunately the available units weren't ideal for my needs. Brenda told me about their Jefferson location and they would have units that would be better fitting for my need. I went over to the Jefferson location and Kasey took really good care of me found me a unit that works best for my needs. Overall it was a great and easy experience!

Find a Storage Unit For Rent Near You
Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Lawndale, California is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout California, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Lawndale, California.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.
Are there free storage deals in Lawndale, California?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Lawndale?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
Lawndale is a small, fully built-out city in Los Angeles County. It borders Hawthorne, Redondo Beach, and Torrance, which limits undeveloped land for new storage construction. Proximity to major corridors like Interstate 405 and Hawthorne Boulevard makes storage access convenient and increases competition for space. Because Lawndale is less than five miles from the Pacific Ocean, coastal demand and dense residential zoning influence storage availability more than in inland South Bay cities. These geographic constraints explain why residents often compare several nearby options before reserving storage.
Lawndale’s housing stock consists mainly of apartments, duplexes, and small-lot single-family homes, especially in neighborhoods east of Hawthorne Boulevard. This housing pattern aligns with demand for smaller storage units used during moves, renovations, or downsizing. Narrow residential streets and limited driveway space can make on-site storage impractical in many areas. As a result, residents commonly use off-site storage during short-term housing transitions within the South Bay.
Lawndale has higher residential turnover than many suburban cities in Los Angeles County, which leads to storage demand that rises and falls throughout the year. Storage rate adjustments often align with peak moving periods tied to lease cycles common in apartment-heavy cities. Storage renters planning long-term use should consider how local housing mobility affects availability.
