I reserved our storage unit 2 weeks in advance. The day of our move I get an email that our reservation has been canceled for no reason. I try to reserve a unit again and it would not go through. I called customer service to get the unit reserved and they were unable to help me because their system was down. There was not a local, live person at our storage facility so I kept trying online until it went through. We already had a truck load of our belongings waiting to go to storage. I finally gwt another unit reserved but they did not email me my unit or my access code. I call in to customer service yet again. The 1st time I call they say they don't know why I didn't get the email and they will reach out to facility manager. I immediately call back and the 2nd call the representative sends me an email with access code and unit. We finally get into the facility, arrive at our unit, and we find that we are not able to get into the unit because of a red combination lock on the door. I call customer service AGAIN! 1st person once again says they'll reach out to manager. 2nd call the person tells me there is a serial number on that lock and he needed it to give us the combo. By this time it was almost 11 pm and we had already left the facility. Day 2 - We go straight back to facility with the same truckload as the day before. I call customer service give them the serial number and the girl says she can't find it in the system and she'll reach out to a manager. I call back a 2nd time and we get the combo and we were FINALLU able to get into our unit. I never spoke to anyone that was actually at the facility which probably would have been really nice and made this process easier. While I loved the convenience of it at first, the whole experience and having 2 days with the same truck load of our stuff really messed up our move.

If you have delicate items such as musical instruments, computers, pictures, antique wood furniture, it is recommended to select a climate controlled unit. Climate controlled storage units protect against rust, corrosion, mold, cracking, and warping.

What’s the difference between an indoor and an outdoor unit?An outdoor storage unit is one that has a direct access and usually drive-up accessible. An indoor unit is located within the building.

What items can't be put in a storage unit?

Most storage facilities will not let you store firearms, perishable items, liquids, illegal drugs, flammable and hazardous materials, live animals or plants.

Are my items insured while being in a storage unit?

You are responsible for the items that you store. Storage facility's insurance provides protection for the location that houses the storage units and not the contents of individual storage units. If your homeowner insurance doesn't cover your items, usually the facility manager will help you sign up with an insurance provider.

Can I use my renters insurance for a storage unit?

Anything your renter's insurance policy covers under usual conditions would be covered in your storage unit. Usually, renters insurance will cover items in a unit up to 10% of your policy limits, but the coverage does not include natural disasters. However, there may be exceptions to this, check with your insurance company to see if you're covered.

What do I need to bring with me when to rent a unit?

You will need a government-issued photo ID(driver’s license, state ID or passport) to complete your storage unit rental agreement.

Can I access my unit anytime I want?

Most storage locations are open 365 days a year, but access hours may vary. During access hours, usually between 6am – 10pm seven days a week, you can access your unit by using your individual gate code. During office hours, the company employees are available to answer questions and provide on-site support.

How long can I rent a unit?

Most rental contracts are month-to-month agreements and billed in one-month increments. No long-term lease is required unless the customer requests otherwise.
