I have had a couple of less than desirable encounters with storage facilities, but the staff and the rate at Storage King restored my faithЁЯШД. The online check in process was unable to generate my lease so it was necessary to go into the office, but they were very friendly and the time it took was minimal. The only thing that was not made evident online or in office initially, was the location of my unit. I was under the assumption it was there in Lynah, when I fact there is an alternate location on Bourne. It added a little time and confusion, but overall they are a good choice for storage.

The unit was clean and well maintained. The area in the facility is awkward to get in and out, especially if you have a trailer. Door is hard to close.l Overall, a good value for my needs.

Just moved from out of state . Storage staff helpful, storage unit was clean and the property is in good shape.. The gates stay open at all times, this I do not like .. I expected a secured facility, and it could be one, I have a gate code and don't mind having to use it every time I come ... That's what I paid for actually . But for whatever reason the gate is just left open at all times, so anytime can drive right in.. more they do have cameras, to but that really just records a problem if one occurs if it happens in their view. But it does very little to prevent a problem... There is electric service to reach building obviously to run the camera system, but no electrical socket in unit or even a light bulb.. so no lights... Those are the only two things I wish were different.. otherwise, I'm good with the rate and the location etc. Staff member I met answered all questions, checked unit and made sure it was good with me when I arrived, and I was able to supply my own lock, not forced to buy one from the company.. but did have the option at a reasonable price..

I rented a 10x15 controlled storage unit. First off, it took the front desk receptionist almost 45 minutes just to get my personal information loaded into the computer to print & sign the contract. It should not have taken that much time to enter an address, drivers license & renters insurance info. Then she took another 5 minutes to LOCATE a key for my unit because they didn’t seem to have an organized system at all. Make sure you use the bathroom before you go to your unit. There’s not one there & they certainly won’t allow you to use theirs. Pathetic. You will be told to walk to the gas station behind their office. Avoid the Chevron… its bathroom is disgusting! Use the other station that is a few more steps away. Then another kicker, the unit is located on a gravel lot along with a mechanic, body work shop of some sort with junky & broken down cars that clog up the aisles. It was very hard to maneuver around all the junk cars with a trailer. They also played loud music the whole time I was there. Being on a gravel lot made it VERY DUSTY & you will get dirty. You don’t want to drop anything on the ground bc it will be covered in a fine dust like volcano ash. I’m a lady & I prefer to be clean so that part was quite annoying to me m. I’m hopeful that I won’t have to file a claim of any sort on my belongings due to evidence of rat droppings that I discovered in my unit as I was moving in. For precautions & proof, I took pictures of the evidence.

What’s the difference between an indoor and an outdoor unit?An outdoor storage unit is one that has a direct access and usually drive-up accessible. An indoor unit is located within the building.

What items can't be put in a storage unit?

Most storage facilities will not let you store firearms, perishable items, liquids, illegal drugs, flammable and hazardous materials, live animals or plants.

Are my items insured while being in a storage unit?

You are responsible for the items that you store. Storage facility's insurance provides protection for the location that houses the storage units and not the contents of individual storage units. If your homeowner insurance doesn't cover your items, usually the facility manager will help you sign up with an insurance provider.

Can I use my renters insurance for a storage unit?

Anything your renter's insurance policy covers under usual conditions would be covered in your storage unit. Usually, renters insurance will cover items in a unit up to 10% of your policy limits, but the coverage does not include natural disasters. However, there may be exceptions to this, check with your insurance company to see if you're covered.

What do I need to bring with me when to rent a unit?

You will need a government-issued photo ID(driver’s license, state ID or passport) to complete your storage unit rental agreement.

Can I access my unit anytime I want?

Most storage locations are open 365 days a year, but access hours may vary. During access hours, usually between 6am – 10pm seven days a week, you can access your unit by using your individual gate code. During office hours, the company employees are available to answer questions and provide on-site support.

How long can I rent a unit?

Most rental contracts are month-to-month agreements and billed in one-month increments. No long-term lease is required unless the customer requests otherwise.
