Made a reservation, after picking up a UHaul, and spending the day filling up the UHaul with an entire house, we get to the facility, get to the unit and after the first elevator trip to the 3rd floor, the elevators stopped working. Pressed the "Emergency Phone" and nothing. Pressed it a few more times thinking someone will surely answer, but nothing. Other customers heard in the facility trying to get the elevators to work as they too had carts of belongings waiting to go up the elevator. Called the 1-866 number and all they said is that they would put a call into the operations team. No one ever called back. Then it sounded like people on the 2nd floor were having difficulty and possibly stuck in the elevator. Again, I called and the same response, "will call the operations team. Nothing I can do but let them know. Someone will call you back." Now waiting over an hour. Many customers were upset. Then we decided to put everything back in the truck and go through the stairs to lock up the unit since no one was coming to assist. Then we could not get to our unit to close and lock it because the 3rd-floor door was locked. We call again and explain that we cannot just leave the unit open with all our stuff to be stolen. Again, the same response, it's a Sunday and we will let the operations team know. We wait another hour and nothing, no call back to let us know someone would be coming to assist. Finally, we call again and they tell us sorry, there are cameras so your stuff shouldn't be stolen... WHAT KIND OF RESPONSE IS THAT? Now we have to pay for another day for the UHaul, pay for the movers that were helping us to come back out, and have to go on a Monday after work to try to continue to put our stuff in storage. If there is anything stolen, this facility will need to pay for it and pay for the extra day with the UHaul. This is the worst experience I ever saw. How can you have a business involving people and not have emergency assistance?

Do I need to rent a climate controlled unit?

If you have delicate items such as musical instruments, computers, pictures, antique wood furniture, it is recommended to select a climate controlled unit. Climate controlled storage units protect against rust, corrosion, mold, cracking, and warping.

What’s the difference between an indoor and an outdoor unit?An outdoor storage unit is one that has a direct access and usually drive-up accessible. An indoor unit is located within the building.

What items can't be put in a storage unit?

Most storage facilities will not let you store firearms, perishable items, liquids, illegal drugs, flammable and hazardous materials, live animals or plants.

Are my items insured while being in a storage unit?

You are responsible for the items that you store. Storage facility's insurance provides protection for the location that houses the storage units and not the contents of individual storage units. If your homeowner insurance doesn't cover your items, usually the facility manager will help you sign up with an insurance provider.

Can I use my renters insurance for a storage unit?

Anything your renter's insurance policy covers under usual conditions would be covered in your storage unit. Usually, renters insurance will cover items in a unit up to 10% of your policy limits, but the coverage does not include natural disasters. However, there may be exceptions to this, check with your insurance company to see if you're covered.

What do I need to bring with me when to rent a unit?

You will need a government-issued photo ID(driver’s license, state ID or passport) to complete your storage unit rental agreement.

Can I access my unit anytime I want?

Most storage locations are open 365 days a year, but access hours may vary. During access hours, usually between 6am – 10pm seven days a week, you can access your unit by using your individual gate code. During office hours, the company employees are available to answer questions and provide on-site support.

How long can I rent a unit?

Most rental contracts are month-to-month agreements and billed in one-month increments. No long-term lease is required unless the customer requests otherwise.
