I've used this facility on three separate occasions and have always enjoyed my experience. The check-in / registration process was extremely efficient and easy to follow. If you need to speak with the office staff, they are very friendly and helpful. I've always found the pricing to be very reasonable and inexpensive for what you get.

Initially I saw this 5x5 storage unit up for $60 a month, which seemed reasonable as it was on the outskirts of the city and less expensive than other units within the city. However the checkout process on the day before move in revealed the true price of $126 after administrative fees, mandatory protection plan, and a padlock purchase. This was difficult for me, since I had no other options by the time I actually paid for the unit. The actual move in process was simple and the instructions were easy to follow. The unit was clean, accessible, and the space was exactly as advertised. The unit also seemed to have reliable security systems. Overall I would recommend this storage unit IF you are okay with the pricing and fees.

The facility is conveniently located and priced around the same amount as other places. It's clean enough but the one star review is based on the unprofessional treatment I received from the manager, Shantell, of the store when I went to secure my storage rental on move in day. I had never experienced anything like this before in my life and had I not had a rented truck (with a deadline I couldn't extend) with my belongings already with me I would not have rented at this facility. For full disclosure, I did file a complaint with Cube Smart and the District Manager called me and apologized for my experience and said he would "address it with the manager of the store" and for me to call him should I have any additional issues. For the price and the plethora of other storage facilities available, I would not recommend this place because of the disrespect you may experience when trying to pay for your unit or resolve any other problems.

Went in to get storage unit and the customer service was phenomenal. Extremely helpful, the unit I was assigned to had for issues so we searched until we found another. The one I got was closer to the elevator lol which we all want and it was cleaner looking than the others. I was very pleased and the pricing is one of the best Iﾃ｢竄ｬ邃｢ve found during my search. Highly recommended.

This cube smart self-storage in Washington is very safe and it is highly secure. The staff is courteous and friendly. The place is clean and well organized. The only thing you should be aware of is the in and out timings. U can get stuck inside the property with the only way out, a long phone call to customer care.

The place is about 2 years old and is very well kept. The storage areas and halls are very clean as is the front office area. There is security in the form of access code entry required for outdoor gate entry and upwards bound elevator use. The general manager, Frankie is wonderfully helpful and upbeat. She answered all my questions thoughtfully. My experience signing the storage rental paperwork with her went smoothly and quickly as well. I was unhappy that only one elevator was operational the day I moved my stuff in however. This translated to more movers time and more expense for me. While I am a very new tenant, I would definitely recommend this facility based on my limited experience so far.

The facility is very clean and convenient if you are moving from Washington DC. The customer service was a bit shady, however. They call you when you make an online reservation. When they called me, they confirmed that they offer prorated daily-rate if you are storing stuff 2-3 days over the monthly stay (i.e., so you'd just pay for those extra days instead of full month). But when I arrived with my stuff, the customer service said that they do not offer such service. I booked this storage, as opposed to the other ones in the area, for this exact reason - that they offer prorated rate. I was totally caught off guard when they told me this on the day I arrived with my moving company that I had already paid for. I felt like they kind of sweet talked/lied to you in advance just to get you to come and tell the truth when you are actually there, which is at your most vulnerable state since your stuff is already packed and have hired/paid movers by that point. I made several calls to make the case afterward - they said that they will make a note on my storage unit and try to accommodate. But I haven't moved out yet so we will see what happens. Depending on how the exiting goes, I may change my review.

I've had an excellent experience working with two separate managers at the Cube Smart location on New York Avenue. They are pleasant and capable, and I appreciated that they showed me the unit and spoke with me about all available options before I made a final decision. The units themselves are clean and well conditioned. Access is easy via large elevators and parking beys. However, there are only a very few rolling carts, and no hand trucks available to assist with the move. Especially on busy move-in or move-out days, this can be a problem.

AWESOME customer service from property manager Frankie! My move-in day was fraught with delays loading at one storage facility (north of Baltimore) to arriving at my new location (New York Ave., DC) - Frankie did "check-ins" with me about every 25-30 minutes, starting 1 hour before the office closing. I was delayed about 15 minutes arriving and she generously stayed to check me in!

When I arrived to pay for my storage unit, a man named Frank helped me and he was not only nice, but extremely knowledgable. He helped me through the process and when I left, I felt ready to move my possessions into the unit. The facility itself is beautiful - nice and clean and well-maintained. I felt that my things would be safe there. Next, the price was the best in the area. I checked from Alexandria to Silver Spring and no other storage facility came close to the pricing I received at CubeSmart on NY Ave. in D.C. I highly recommend using this facility.
