I was very unhappy with the service & space provided. I rented this space with a $1 for the 1st month special & was told that I MUST pay for the 2nd month by the agent & manager when I arrived. That is not the agreement I had when I signed up with Spare foot. I am shocked that the Storage Etc., Carson agents would claim that I must pay for a 2nd month. My agreement was only to pay $1 for the 1st month as advertised, plus the additional $20 admin fee. Nowhere does it say in writimg that I am agreeing to stay there for 2 months. Despite this the agent & manager (1 man & 1 woman) who were there when I moved in tried telling me that I had to stay for 2 months. They also tried to tell me that my month ended on September 30, 2023, despite I was trying out this location & service. I tried them anyway as we drove both our RV & car down there & wasted so much of our time with the staff signing up. The place FAILED miserably. Not only were the agents not knowledgeable or properly honoring the $1 for the first month promotion that was in writing but they did not seem to understand logic. On top of that I was given a paper that stated I needed to let the property staff know when I was taking my vehicle in & out of the property. They claimed it was for my benefit. I've NEVER had any rental that I pay for tell me I have to let them know when I want to come & go. That is just creepy & invasive. Finally the space is way too small. It seems like they want to cram as many vehicles as they can into the smallest space possible. Take out a parking space so that it's possible to open doors without hitting the adjacent vehicle. The spaces are smaller than they should be. I'd rather pay a little more than worry about being able to barely fit in a space I pay for. Too much greed. Overall this is a poorly run facility that lacks appropriate space sizing to park RVs. I give this place a 0 star rating. I would NOT recommend them to anyone.

Easy move in. Went to the front desk, checked in, the worker showed us where our storage unit was located. They ran out of locks so I do recommend bringing your own. The worker was nice enough to sweep up the floor for us. Seemed like a safe place, espcially in the Carson area. They give you a code to punch in to open the gate and punch out before leaving. If you do not punch your code going in, then the gate won't open when you try to punch out(which gives me more confidence with keeping my items in this storage facility).Price was not bad either, highly recommend!

The folks who work there aren't that friendly nor are that interested in willing to help you. Maybe it was just me. But I met and talked to three people there (first guy, to see the unit, and two ladies, on the moving day), and every one of them wasn't that friendly at first. There was no such thing as warm welcome. Here's one of the annoying things. The second person who helped me with the contract didn't even remember me when I went back with the truck load of my belonging later in the afternoon. And the worst of it all was that their truck had a problem with the needle in the gauge that didn't move right away once I pumped the gas. I told the second person when she showed me the unit, but she declined to deal with the issue and instead referred me to the property manager. That's fine. So, when I went back to the office to return the truck before their closing time and brought up the issue to the property manager, her attitude was at first "What do you want?" in an accusatory tone. I explained that I had pumped the gas for $5 to see how much the needle moved. It moved upward slightly, but not quite to where it was supposed to be. So, I pumped another $10 worth. The needle didn't move. So, I ended up pumping another $10 worth. The needle didn't move at all again. However, something told me that $25 was enough for just over 40 miles of driving, so I simply stopped pumping and started the truck. I saw it slowly crawl upward as I was driving, showing that the amount was not only enough but also slightly more. Yeah, maybe I was fine with that. But, please forgive me if I am cheap. And the very reason why I went to Storage Etc. is because it is the cheapest storage in the area. And her attitude was like, what do I want? Flabbergasted, I replied, "never mind." Then, she calmed down and turned to offer me credit - half off the mileage that I actually recorded. I thanked her. But here's my question. Did she really have to go like that in the first place?

The indoor storage units are oversized outdoor metal lockers on undulating, crumbling but patched concrete pads sitting on asphalt. Nothing on the site is flat; it used to be the location of a drive in theater. The on-site security monitoring mostly covers the main driving alleys between rows of lockers. In the narrow spaces between rows of lockers and in camera blind spots, you're on your own so be aware of your surroundings even in broad daylight. Like most storage facilities, expect insurance to be lumped onto your monthly rent and for the cost of rent to rise annually. Flooding and earthquake damage are not covered, neither are your valuable documents. Access is conveniently close to both the 110 and the 405 freeways.

In regards to storage, the pricing is quite good. This particular place does not have outdoor lighting so please plan accordingly but other than that - everything is pretty good. The person working at the location actually stayed an extra hour on the premises after his shift to make sure we got into our storage alright - so I definitely appreciate is customer service!

There are closer facilities to my house, but my budget led me to Storage Etc because the low monthly fee is what I can easily afford. The price was right, and I was pleasantly surprised to find prompt service, staff who took great care to insure my complete understanding of the terms of agreement, that I got the right size unit to meet my need, and that I left with confidence that my belongings are in a secure place. At this facility, I found the unit I needed, with an affordability that allowed for insurance against theft, fire, or flood....all for half of the monthly fee alone at other companies, BEFORE insurance. It is a sprawling facility that is a bit out of my way. Even so, the pros outweigh the cons so thoroughly....cons? What cons? This place is cool.

This place is worth it for the price I guess if your going to rent long term . Heads up they "require" renters insurance altho in their contract it states the opposite so if you do rent from here as they are going over your contract and asking me to sign and initial go ahead and read it over and mention it to them and see what they say, I was in a rush and just signed it the basic insurance is $9 but I'm pretty sure my homeowners insurance will cover it and they say they will require a copy of your insurance to keep on file. the person who helped me was very nice but again I think they were giving me a hard sell pitch on the insurance.

Even though this place looks like the set of a slasher film, the price was right, and Anthony was courteous and helpful. I actually like the outdoor units (the Public Storage type places rarely turn up the air conditioning, and I found them to be sweltering and oppressive). So, if you just need a place to drop your belongings, and don't require the fancy bells and whistles, Storage Etc - Carson is your place!

This is an inexpensive place to park your car about 9 miles from LAX, but there are big boats in here, too. I would say you are taking a chance for a ding or scratch, but the price is right.

The folks at spare foot should get more details about each facility. I thought I was getting a drive up unit with roll up door. There are no roll up doors at this location. Storage Etc. staff figured out an alternate solution that accommodated my needs. I really appreciated their effort.

A Uhaul moving slowly across the west carrying my things that I had not seen for 5 years landed in a Carson CA. It was taken to Denver by someone else when I got ill with a heart transplant and I had not seen some of it for a while. It was all of my personal things and valuables. Storage Etc's customer service hooked me. I told Cindy that I was going to return by car on a certain date and she held the unit for me with a confirmation number. A great drive up space...and it was all I thought it would be. Convenient, right off the freeway, safe....fence/codes and cameras and the staff made it so easy to get organized. I love it and thanks for a great safe place to keep my things here in California.

The guy was very good with filling out paperwork quickly and going over it with me.. When he took me to see the unit he pointed out where to turn and how many rows to go. He show me marker to remember so I wouldn't get lost. that's a big place. He acted liked he was the owner the way he treated me. Very Outstanding Work

I was first a little hesitant, because it looks like a place where old RVs go to die, and is hardly your typical facility. But that proved, for me, to be a plus, because you don't have to go down moldy corridors to get to your locker, everything is accessible on the ground floor, from outdoors. The locker itself was clean and dry, and the service was excellent, with friendly and courteous desk people. It's also very easy access from the freeway. I'd recommend it.
