Now instead of having 2 weekends to move out I only have 1 so it made it a lot more complicated than it should have. Customer service hotline was not use as they couldn’t help me. Frustrating experience but as soon as Monday came the lady at the storage unit was amazing at helping and got it worked out.

- We received great service setting up our storage unit. The relief manager gave us excellent advice on packing, showing us the facility, and getting us the extra materials we needed to move in. Couldn't have gone smoother. Only thing I will say: They didn't make it 100% clear on the website that because it's IL we needed to also buy insurance for the contents of the unit. Oh well. Thankfully the manager filled us in, but it was an unanticipated expense that I wish the website was more upfront about.

- You need to put more pertinent information on the website. I was very disappointed with all the HIDDEN charges that came out when I went in to the office to rent a space. No where does it state that you MUST have a padlock at the time of rental and can supply your own instead of paying $20 to get one from you. No where does it say that some states require the renter to maintain insurance on their contents. When I went back the next day to actually rent the space, I brought my own padlock and saved some money. I did purchase insurance from Public storage at the time I rented the space. I think it would be nice if it said on the website that "The following states require insurance: (list of states). This would have made my original experience much more pleasant because I would have been prepared for everything that was required on the first trip instead of having to go home, research other storage locations, and return another time to sign the contract.
