I was using two smaller units at this place. Both were clean and easy to use. However, I am now moving into a much bigger unit there, and it's not very nice at all. The door bolt was frozen shut. Had to beat on it to get it open. It was not swept out, nails sticking out of the walls everywhere. And there are three holes drilled into the outside wall. This makes it easy for mice and other vermin to get into the unit. Not pleased with this one but I needed it for its size. Thst has changed my mind about recommending this place. I believe they rented it to me and never even took the time to see if it needed cleaning or other maintenance.

SpareBox appears to have recently taken this facility over. They have spent time and money renovating and painting it and it looks good. Only suggestions would be to pave over ruts where electric lines were run and to move entrance gate a little further away from the road - our travel trailer hangs out in the road while entering gate code.

If your homeowner insurance doesn't cover your items, usually the facility manager will help you sign up with an insurance provider.

Can I use my renters insurance for a storage unit?

Anything your renter's insurance policy covers under usual conditions would be covered in your storage unit. Usually, renters insurance will cover items in a unit up to 10% of your policy limits, but the coverage does not include natural disasters. However, there may be exceptions to this, check with your insurance company to see if you're covered.

Most storage locations are open 365 days a year, but access hours may vary. During access hours, usually between 6am – 10pm seven days a week, you can access your unit by using your individual gate code. During office hours, the company employees are available to answer questions and provide on-site support.

How long can I rent a unit?

Most rental contracts are month-to-month agreements and billed in one-month increments. No long-term lease is required unless the customer requests otherwise.
