The experience is seamless, I did everything online. Reservations, setup payment, downloaded the App for touchless entry and my lock was awaiting in the storage. I did get a friendly call prior to help me or insure I complete all needed information. Customer service is stellar and I love good customer service. EASY PROCESS!

Having to exit the car to enter and exit the gate is inconvenient. The gate code should be your phone number or something thats easy to remember. Other than those two issues the a like that the storage is clean and the gate hours are great.

It appears as if you are not in person, then you don't deserve good customer service. I was called before, during, and after my purchase for various reasons. Each and every time they said my name wrong. I corrected them each time, and it was like they all received the same instructions on how to reply (And yes they were different employees each time), because all they said was "Uh huh" and kept on with their comments. It became so frustrating, that after the last (and I believe fourth call), after the same situation happened again and we got off the phone, I actually called back, and told the individual how all of them said my name wrong (although they stated it was spelled correctly on whatever they were looking at),and after I corrected them, I at least didn't get an "Oh i'm sorry" (and then the proper pronunciation. I shared my view on how to properly handle mispronunciation of names, and I hope it was taken into consideration. If this seems minute to the surveyors, I apologize, but you asked.

The women who set up and assisted on my move in date were so awesome. I moved into the unit at the Andrews AFB facility on Feb. 15th. The woman working, and I can't remember her name, was SO friendly and was very thorough on explaining everything even offering the dolly. You just don't find employee's in the customer field with the personalit and knowledge as those 2 women. I think the woman who set everything up was Felecia but I'm not sure. All I know is if you want a clean, safe and friendly place to store your things go to the Public Storage by Andrews AFB.

Do I need to rent a climate controlled unit?

If you have delicate items such as musical instruments, computers, pictures, antique wood furniture, it is recommended to select a climate controlled unit. Climate controlled storage units protect against rust, corrosion, mold, cracking, and warping.

What’s the difference between an indoor and an outdoor unit?An outdoor storage unit is one that has a direct access and usually drive-up accessible. An indoor unit is located within the building.

What items can't be put in a storage unit?

Most storage facilities will not let you store firearms, perishable items, liquids, illegal drugs, flammable and hazardous materials, live animals or plants.

Are my items insured while being in a storage unit?

You are responsible for the items that you store. Storage facility's insurance provides protection for the location that houses the storage units and not the contents of individual storage units. If your homeowner insurance doesn't cover your items, usually the facility manager will help you sign up with an insurance provider.

Can I use my renters insurance for a storage unit?

Anything your renter's insurance policy covers under usual conditions would be covered in your storage unit. Usually, renters insurance will cover items in a unit up to 10% of your policy limits, but the coverage does not include natural disasters. However, there may be exceptions to this, check with your insurance company to see if you're covered.

What do I need to bring with me when to rent a unit?

You will need a government-issued photo ID(driver’s license, state ID or passport) to complete your storage unit rental agreement.

Can I access my unit anytime I want?

Most storage locations are open 365 days a year, but access hours may vary. During access hours, usually between 6am – 10pm seven days a week, you can access your unit by using your individual gate code. During office hours, the company employees are available to answer questions and provide on-site support.

How long can I rent a unit?

Most rental contracts are month-to-month agreements and billed in one-month increments. No long-term lease is required unless the customer requests otherwise.
