I’ve rented from Public Storage twice and luckily the same manager still resides there. Arizona does an amazing job at problem solving and making sure the customers needs are met.

I've been satisfied with public storage......extremely convenient location, easy access, size & availability of units. except: rent has gone up every year, from $99 to $117, to $133. The final straw was being notified rent was increasing to $150 per month. After a brief search, I found another storage location; same size unit, same hours same hours of access. Only 1 1/2 miles away from my current public storage location. and it was only $78 per month!!! HALF OFF!!!!! The kicker is that my new unit for $78 dollars (vs $150 at my existing PUBLIC STORAGE) is ANOTHER PUBLIC STORAGE FACILITY!!!!!! I asked the manager at my existing location if there was any chance to meet the price of the new location. she said she would ask her manager. I thought that since I had rented my existing unit for 3 YEARS and never being late on rent, that maybe PUBLIC STORAGE could price match another PUBLIC STORAGE facility that was only 1 1/2 miles away. I was told the response was that price matching "would not even be considered" and to go ahead and move. So I have. So much for Public storage customer retention. Yes, I'm still with Public Storage, but I will never actually recommend them or purposefully seek them out for future storage needs. They don't care about me as a customer, so I don't care about them as a storage facility.

Let me tell you. This is an awesome place to store your personals. The office lady by the name of Sherri is very polite, knowledgeable, helpful, and very caring. You cant ask for anybody else to be more concerned than the care she gives you when you walk in.

After I finally moved all my belongings into the storage unit, later that evening I received an email saying that my lock was missing! I was up until that point certain I had locked it ( I had both keys!), but couldn't contact anyone (as they were closed) or go check to confirm. I didn't sleep at all that night ( not exactly how I wanted to end a day of moving and heavy lifting ?. I left a message that was never returned and had to readjust my day to go to the storage and make sure my things were there and it was locked the next morning. To date no one has returned my call. I received my invoice though....thanks. I will not be using them again.

This was a rental for less than 30 days so I got a good deal 25 dollars for the administration fee and 1 dollar for the rent. The insurance is optional I declined even though they were very VERY pushy. READ THE FINE PRINT! The locks either use their 20 dollar lock and take it with you or bring your own to this location, hence they have yet to transfer to the deadbolt lock

The service I received was beyond great...it was memorable and educational...I received help from a guy named Darnell not only was he patient and took the time to explain everything public storage had to offer he also made sure my daughter and I were temperature comfortable in his store...he took the time to adjust air to fit my needs...I was also offered a chair to sit since they saw I was very pregnant...I truly recommend this store to anyone seeking storage...if all customer service was as great as I received here...more people would walk around happy...I look forward to any business I have with them in future...

What’s the difference between an indoor and an outdoor unit?An outdoor storage unit is one that has a direct access and usually drive-up accessible. An indoor unit is located within the building.

What items can't be put in a storage unit?

Most storage facilities will not let you store firearms, perishable items, liquids, illegal drugs, flammable and hazardous materials, live animals or plants.

Are my items insured while being in a storage unit?

You are responsible for the items that you store. Storage facility's insurance provides protection for the location that houses the storage units and not the contents of individual storage units. If your homeowner insurance doesn't cover your items, usually the facility manager will help you sign up with an insurance provider.

Can I use my renters insurance for a storage unit?

Anything your renter's insurance policy covers under usual conditions would be covered in your storage unit. Usually, renters insurance will cover items in a unit up to 10% of your policy limits, but the coverage does not include natural disasters. However, there may be exceptions to this, check with your insurance company to see if you're covered.

What do I need to bring with me when to rent a unit?

You will need a government-issued photo ID(driver’s license, state ID or passport) to complete your storage unit rental agreement.

Can I access my unit anytime I want?

Most storage locations are open 365 days a year, but access hours may vary. During access hours, usually between 6am – 10pm seven days a week, you can access your unit by using your individual gate code. During office hours, the company employees are available to answer questions and provide on-site support.

How long can I rent a unit?

Most rental contracts are month-to-month agreements and billed in one-month increments. No long-term lease is required unless the customer requests otherwise.
