So far so good. I wish operating hours were past 9pm. I also wish prices were lower or guaranteed to be lower, for example if paying for 3, 6, 9, or 12 months at a time, a 5-20% reduction in price could be made.

The Public Storage at 200 Bolingbrook dr. in Bolingbrook is perfect. Monica was very informative and courteous. She helped us get everything set up in no time. She took the time out to show us our storage, and explain how the whole process works. Will definitely use again in the future.

I was very please with the online reservation process, the follow up call from Laura with minutes of the online confirmation, then the polite and efficient handling of the paperwork and walk through with Lisa and Shea. I came to P.S. because of a friend who highly recommended the Glendale Heights location. I will do the same for anyone asking about a storage location. Thank you all for your friendly, courteous, and professional service. Jim

The property and the staff are great, my unit seemed to stay dry, so no water intrusion in the nearly two year stay. There was however evidence of rodent intrusion, which perhaps should be expected. But...beware, I was only at check-in informed of the mandatory $11.00 insurance charge added to the monthly rental rate, and the one time lock purchase charge. Real issue to be aware of is the company policy of raising the monthly rental rate (with no prior notice) In. my case, from $133.00 to $217.00 in just under two years, plus the $11.00 insurance. The company policy of increasing the monthly rate drove me out, I likely, would have just kept my items stored in spite of having space at home. so now Public Storage will get $0.00 per month from me. Again, staff and property were great, Public Storage the company I rate negatively.

#1 I think you guys should prorate the monthly rent, at least up till the 15th of the month. Having to pay for an entire month after the 6th is crazy. #2 you should have a rest room or Porta potty available at the facility the during the hours that the facility has access. I was moving at 8am and could not get access to the rest room until 930 when someone opened the office.

I think when you have good customers that pay on time every month you should treat them better and not raise the rent so fast (and at smaller increments). What happened to the first month at $1.00??? That set Public Storage apart from the other storage places. This time I only received 50% off the first month. I store a car at this location as many others do, so moving out is easy. I can understand those that store boxes will just pay the increases because it's not easy for them to move out.

What’s the difference between an indoor and an outdoor unit?An outdoor storage unit is one that has a direct access and usually drive-up accessible. An indoor unit is located within the building.

What items can't be put in a storage unit?

Most storage facilities will not let you store firearms, perishable items, liquids, illegal drugs, flammable and hazardous materials, live animals or plants.

Are my items insured while being in a storage unit?

You are responsible for the items that you store. Storage facility's insurance provides protection for the location that houses the storage units and not the contents of individual storage units. If your homeowner insurance doesn't cover your items, usually the facility manager will help you sign up with an insurance provider.

Can I use my renters insurance for a storage unit?

Anything your renter's insurance policy covers under usual conditions would be covered in your storage unit. Usually, renters insurance will cover items in a unit up to 10% of your policy limits, but the coverage does not include natural disasters. However, there may be exceptions to this, check with your insurance company to see if you're covered.

What do I need to bring with me when to rent a unit?

You will need a government-issued photo ID(driver’s license, state ID or passport) to complete your storage unit rental agreement.

Can I access my unit anytime I want?

Most storage locations are open 365 days a year, but access hours may vary. During access hours, usually between 6am – 10pm seven days a week, you can access your unit by using your individual gate code. During office hours, the company employees are available to answer questions and provide on-site support.

How long can I rent a unit?

Most rental contracts are month-to-month agreements and billed in one-month increments. No long-term lease is required unless the customer requests otherwise.
