Nice facility and definitely feels safe. Always very clean and easy to navigate. I would recommend that they put more moving carts out. Sometimes you have to go to a different floor to find one. 2 or 3 carts per level would be a nice addition.

My daughter had a confirmation for a storage unit here and when she went to move her stuff in, they said they gave her unit away and there was nothing available. This is unacceptable!! She is now scrambling to have to find another unit asap because she has to be out of her house today.

This was a locally owned storage facility with a manager on site. Clean, orderly and safe. Then they sold to a corporate company called Sparebox and completely removed the office and all onsite employees. So no one works there on the property at any point during business hours. Last year, the door to the facility was broken for over a week and no one came to fix it - so non renters could walk in and out as they pleased. Super scary situation. I don’t feel comfortable being in a huge building with long corridors and no attendant. Again, during business hours. Customer service toll free number is laughable, it’s outsourced to another state without anyone local to address problems. Two rent hikes in 12 months. Now paying close to double where I started in 2 years. Awful experience and company.

This is my first time ever renting a storage building, and I am beyond impressed with my experience so far. The simplicity of renting a unit with Sparebox is what initially sold me. Contactless renting is fantastic in a sense that you can easily find the unit that best suits your needs, make payments, and receive your gate code, all online. Thats it. No hassel, gimmicks, or hidden fees. The facility itself is in an excellent location, as well as being extremely clean, safe, and well lit. My only suggestion would be to maybe add a few more moving carts on site. Besides that, Sparebox Storage has been an absolute pleasure to rent from, and coming from a picky person, I would 100% recommend them for all of your storage needs.

I was a bit leery of a facility where there was no one on-site, but there was nothing to worry about!

Most storage facilities will not let you store firearms, perishable items, liquids, illegal drugs, flammable and hazardous materials, live animals or plants.

Are my items insured while being in a storage unit?

You are responsible for the items that you store. Storage facility's insurance provides protection for the location that houses the storage units and not the contents of individual storage units. If your homeowner insurance doesn't cover your items, usually the facility manager will help you sign up with an insurance provider.

Can I use my renters insurance for a storage unit?

Anything your renter's insurance policy covers under usual conditions would be covered in your storage unit. Usually, renters insurance will cover items in a unit up to 10% of your policy limits, but the coverage does not include natural disasters. However, there may be exceptions to this, check with your insurance company to see if you're covered.

What do I need to bring with me when to rent a unit?

You will need a government-issued photo ID(driver’s license, state ID or passport) to complete your storage unit rental agreement.

Can I access my unit anytime I want?

Most storage locations are open 365 days a year, but access hours may vary. During access hours, usually between 6am – 10pm seven days a week, you can access your unit by using your individual gate code. During office hours, the company employees are available to answer questions and provide on-site support.

How long can I rent a unit?

Most rental contracts are month-to-month agreements and billed in one-month increments. No long-term lease is required unless the customer requests otherwise.
