- I needed a large (10x20) climate controlled space to store household goods coming up from Florida, including antique furniture that wouldn't do well in an environment that wasn't climate controlled. I'm older, so I wanted it on the ground floor so as not to wrestle big items into and out of an elevator. I was offered a nice space only a few doors from the side entry door which fits my needs perfectly. I was shown the space promptly, and all aspects of hours, access, etc. were dealt with clearly and efficiently. I was even warned that a full-sized moving van would not be able to negotiate the turn from the street to the access gate, so what's called "shuttle service" by the moving company (putting the goods into a smaller truck after the long-haul delivery) would be needed. I would not have known to ask about that, which could have been a problem on moving day.

Find a Storage Unit For Rent Near You

Finding and renting trusted self-storage facilities in Lebanon, New Jersey is now easier through MoversCorp. Compare options and rent storage near you with just a few clicks. We provide the convenience of reserving affordable storage units online or by phone. No credit card or long-term contract is required. Consider us as your solution for finding and reserving a storage facility throughout New Jersey, including options for mini storage units and storage containers to suit a variety of needs. The cheapest storage unit in your area may not always be the best choice. Please consider the following factors when selecting a storage unit in Lebanon, New Jersey.
- Monthly rates are based on features such as 24/7 access, climate control, facility security, location, and overall demand in your area.
- For household goods, the most common storage unit sizes are 5x5, 5x10, 10x10, and 10X15. For added flexibility, some companies also offer portable mini storage units for rent for temporary residential use that can be delivered to your property or hauled by you for on-site storage.
- Many facilities offer larger unit sizes for commercial and business storage, like 10x20 or 10x30. These sizes are ideal for storing office equipment, inventory, or business records. These sizes can also accommodate vehicles, making them a great option for car storage.
- Most storage facilities require insurance for stored items. If you don’t have your own policy, you may need to buy one through the facility, adding about $15 to $50 to your storage rental cost each month. Some places also charge a refundable deposit or an administrative fee when you move in. Always ask about these costs and refund conditions before signing a lease.
- Storage facilities with flexible leases allow you to rent on a month-to-month basis. Be aware that storage unit price increases are common. Many customers say their rates go up after a few months, sometimes more than once a year. Since storage rentals are month-to-month, facilities can raise prices with proper notice. Ask about potential rate increases before committing to a unit.
- The monthly rent will also depend on whether a facility offers climate-controlled units or only drive-up units. Climate-controlled units cost more than drive-up units or storage containers.
- Most locations have digital keypad access, which provides you with your personal access code. Check with the office for availability.
- Consider drive-up access for easier loading and unloading, especially for heavy or bulky items.
- Some facilities may provide extra room or rental space for public use, such as areas for organizing or handling your stored items. Contact the property manager to confirm availability.
- Check for online reviews and recommendations. Local experts can guide renters to facilities that stay available and maintain reliable service during peak demand.
- Ask the office about the preventive security measures for safeguarding the location. Facilities with experienced staff often maintain stronger daily oversight by monitoring access logs and responding quickly to tenant concerns.
Are there free storage deals in Lebanon, New Jersey?
Many companies offer promotions for new customers, such as a free first month. Search by your zip code or distance to locate cheap storage units that come with the first month free and other decent storage discounts. Take advantage of specials if you're a first-time renter.
How do I find the cheapest storage in Lebanon?
You can sort by price, from low to high, to find affordable options on our website. Away from the city center, you have a better chance of finding inexpensive storage rental solutions. The facility's size and amenities affect the monthly price.
What is the difference between an indoor and outdoor unit?
You have easy access to your unit when it is an outdoor unit. If the unit is indoors, you must first enter the building to get to it.
What is the difference between office hours and gate hours?
The property's operating hours are during office hours. The store manager will be on duty to help you with your questions. If you have questions or need help outside these hours, look up the property's phone number to contact the leasing office directly. The gate hours determine when you can enter the property and use your unit.
Lebanon Township sits in Hunterdon County, a rural area where lower population density shapes storage demand differently than more developed parts of New Jersey. The township lies near the Interstate 78 corridor, which drives storage demand from residents moving between western New Jersey and the Lehigh Valley. Higher rates of homeownership and a large share of single-family homes lead to frequent seasonal moves. These patterns tighten unit availability during spring and summer. Since commercial zoning within the township remains limited, many residents look to nearby towns for storage.
Distance from major access roads, such as U.S. Route 22, affects pricing. Properties closer to highway interchanges often sit on higher-value land. Winter demand drops as moving activity slows, partly because average annual snowfall is near 30 inches. This slowdown can raise short-term availability. Rural land use also means storage facilities are more spread out, so drive time often matters more than straight-line distance. Comparing access routes is especially important during peak commuting hours, when Route 22 traffic backs up.
Climate conditions also shape pricing. Lebanon Township’s humid continental climate keeps summer humidity above 65 percent, increasing demand for enclosed storage units. Facilities in floodplain-adjacent areas around Spruce Run Reservoir may be subject to stricter construction standards. These standards can affect unit design and pricing. Demand stays steadier than in dense counties, though rates can rise during regional job-driven relocations tied to employment centers outside the township. Limited commercial zoning keeps supply tighter than in surrounding counties.
Lower-priced units are more common farther from Interstate 78 interchanges, where land costs run lower. Rural locations often charge less but require longer drives. Winter access should factor into pricing decisions, especially during snow or ice events. In Lebanon Township, affordability usually correlates with how far a property is from major transportation corridors.
