Brittany was so great. She took her time to explain everything and really made me feel secure with making the decision to go with Public Storage. I had been to other storage facilities and most of the time there was no one there or could not answer my questions. You have gems in Brittany and Crystal.

Shopped online and got a size and price I thought would work for me. Went in to view unit but was told I needed to fill out paperwork just to see the unit. I was concerned about pulling my trailer up to unit. I was quoted more in the store for the unit and explained I found it online cheaper. I was told this unit wasn't available online. I reiterated several times that I found it online and that is why I was interested in that size unit and the only reason I knew it was there was because I had found it online. I ended up trying to find it online again while standing in the office and surprisingly enough it wasnt there anymore so I had to pay the full price. This was Saturday, I returned on Monday to have my lock inspected and placed on door. There was a Public Storage owned lock on the unit and I mentioned it to the property manager as well. I wanted to make sure it was removed asap. I returned Thursday night with a full trailer and truck load and found that the front entrance gate does not fully close due to damage. Anyone can walk right in. Second, I found the public storage owned lock still on the door along with my lock. Since it was after hours I called the main number and talked to a representative. I asked him what we can do and his response was nothing, wait til they open tomorrow. I also asked what Public Storage would be willing to do for my incontinence and he said "nothing". I left a message that night with property manager. By 11:30am the next day no word so I called and she answered and immediately apologized. Apparently the door repair man had come to fix their lock and run off with her lock keys and never returned them since Monday! So far its not been a pleasant experience. I do like the unit and where its located, price is ok but would of been nice to have been able to rent it at the online price I had seen. The only reason I went there was because I had found this size unit online and had been searching numerous companies and locations for a very large unit that day.

If you have delicate items such as musical instruments, computers, pictures, antique wood furniture, it is recommended to select a climate controlled unit. Climate controlled storage units protect against rust, corrosion, mold, cracking, and warping.

What’s the difference between an indoor and an outdoor unit?An outdoor storage unit is one that has a direct access and usually drive-up accessible. An indoor unit is located within the building.

What items can't be put in a storage unit?

Most storage facilities will not let you store firearms, perishable items, liquids, illegal drugs, flammable and hazardous materials, live animals or plants.

Are my items insured while being in a storage unit?

You are responsible for the items that you store. Storage facility's insurance provides protection for the location that houses the storage units and not the contents of individual storage units. If your homeowner insurance doesn't cover your items, usually the facility manager will help you sign up with an insurance provider.

Can I use my renters insurance for a storage unit?

Anything your renter's insurance policy covers under usual conditions would be covered in your storage unit. Usually, renters insurance will cover items in a unit up to 10% of your policy limits, but the coverage does not include natural disasters. However, there may be exceptions to this, check with your insurance company to see if you're covered.

What do I need to bring with me when to rent a unit?

You will need a government-issued photo ID(driver’s license, state ID or passport) to complete your storage unit rental agreement.

Can I access my unit anytime I want?

Most storage locations are open 365 days a year, but access hours may vary. During access hours, usually between 6am – 10pm seven days a week, you can access your unit by using your individual gate code. During office hours, the company employees are available to answer questions and provide on-site support.

How long can I rent a unit?

Most rental contracts are month-to-month agreements and billed in one-month increments. No long-term lease is required unless the customer requests otherwise.
