This is my first time using a storage facility like this. I recommend this to everyone. I was a little skeptical at first about the whole process but it was a lot easier than I thought in the end. I reserved online which was so easy. Then on moving day, I checked in the office and received my location. The place is clean and spacious. I felt safe because the place looks very secured. Now I can access my extra stuff any day I want to. Oh by the way, it's very affordable for the size.

Let's just say It didn't start well. On Monday 12/14 I had made arrangements to rent a 5x10 unit with the office who scheduled me to move in on Friday 12/18. At 9am on Friday I received an email that it was move in day so I headed up to the facility. After a 45min drive I arrived to find the facility was not plowed and the office was not open so I returned home. No happy. I made a call and sent a text to the number listed and eventually got a call from someone from the Wind Gap facility who said he would see what he could do to help me. A couple hours later I got a call saying that the facility was now plowed and Karen was in the office so again I made the trip up there. On my way up I got a call from Karen who asked me a couple of questions and asked what size unit I was renting. I told her a 5x10 and she said there were not any 5x10 units available. She said the only unit that was available was a 10x10. At that point I was very upset and said I was almost there and would take it if I could have it for the same price as the 5x10 which I was originally quoted. She said she had to get approval and would get back to me. She did and said that it was approved so for that I am grateful. Karen was very pleasant and helpful with the check in process. This incident could have been avoided if I was sent an email or text letting me know that the facility would not be opened till later in the day due to snow removal instead of "Its move in day".

I’m very happy with the unit, and I will definitely most likely rent again in the future. One thing I will say, is that when I called the facility, I did speak to someone who was a little rude. When I physically went in to purchase a lock, everything went well. Besides that one slight experience, everything was good. The gate code works flawlessly, and the unit is spacious and clean. There is even a packet on the floor to keep rodents away. Definitely will use again if needed!!

Everything ran smoothly from beginning to end. We had a small glitch about move in time, but the people at the other end fixed it perfectly. The price is good and access is very easy. The manager answered all our questions, even the dumb ones, with good humor and the process was quick and painless.

Usually, renters insurance will cover items in a unit up to 10% of your policy limits, but the coverage does not include natural disasters. However, there may be exceptions to this, check with your insurance company to see if you're covered.

Most storage locations are open 365 days a year, but access hours may vary. During access hours, usually between 6am – 10pm seven days a week, you can access your unit by using your individual gate code. During office hours, the company employees are available to answer questions and provide on-site support.

How long can I rent a unit?

Most rental contracts are month-to-month agreements and billed in one-month increments. No long-term lease is required unless the customer requests otherwise.
