Review: The online setup wouldn’t work so I had to drive to the facility to set it up. First inconvenience. There was a racist representative but I won’t waste anymore time talking about her. She was laughable. The “drive-up” I paid for was NOT a drive up. It’s actually a corner cubby holed storage unit with NO LIGHT. When I questioned it not being a drive up unit I was told that’s what they consider it to be. For the record, NOBODY would look at that unit and consider it a drive up. I’ve had drive up units before and that is not it. Unfortunately, because I needed it on that same day for movers, I couldn’t cancel it and I already paid for it. Don’t make the mistake I did and assume a drive up unit is like the rest before you pay. Make sure you go see it first. I was very mislead and disappointed and inconvenienced. Oh and there was a rotten watermelon sitting outside of the hallway of my unit.

Review: It’s a nice place with fair prices and an amazing employee. I say employee since there was only one when I came and I only dealt with one employee. But she was outstanding. The biggest problem is at night the parking lot doesn’t have any lights so you can’t see it from the road if you don’t already know where it is. Once you get through the gates the lighting also isn’t great.

Review: Excellent customer service. I felt a little manipulated because the google search I did to find the place said it was 24 hr access and $38/mo, and it ended up being 6-10 and $50/mo after the first month. Not terrible...but not my search parameters. May be googles fault but I feel like you shouldn't have to pay through the nose for storage. $50/month for 5x5 is stupid. For that amount I'm sure I could bribe my next door neighbor, and they live right next to me. We plan to look for a better deal soon.

Review: I liked the climate controlled units, the keyed entry, office was clean and bright. Rep took me around on golf cart and showed me how to get in & out etc. She showed me a 2nd floor unit and since I was only using it for a week, I asked if they had something on 1st floor. She seemed inconvenienced, "I'd have to go back to the office to check, etc". We were at a standstill until I told her I wouldn't take the 2nd floor but would call other storage places to find a ground unit if they didn't have one. Then she checked on her phone and said rheir is one and 1st month is 50% off like this unit was. We looked at it, I agreed to take it. Go back to the office and the other rep or supervisor wasn't pleased with the change either. She talked for a couple minutes (while sitting in front of her pc) about how this was the last 1st floor unit and might not qualify for 50%. I said the other rep already checked and it does. She still tried to warn me it may not until I asked her if she could just look it up. She did and found it did qualify . Makes me wonder if during our debate if I said anything to the effect of..."that's ok I'll take it anyway" if they would have charged me full price for it.

Review: As soon as we can arrange to get to another storage facility we will. Misleading information while under extreme time constraints made us have to quickly contact Penske for assistance getting a small unit. We asked for closest place and we were told it was 4 miles, no, this is not the closest, we were told a price and they forced us to carry insurance (this has never happened before) raising the cost 20 more dollars a month. Overall it is too far and too expensive. Very disappointed.

Review: My review will focus on my experience to date. I found CubeSmart Self Storage with the SpareFoot Storage Finder. Based on the information provided, it reflected the best combination of price (for the 5' x 5' storage I was seeking), location, and ratings from other reviewers. This was our first time using self-storage, so I contacted “Store 0540” (this location’s official designation) directly to ensure I had all the documentation (e.g., acceptable ID, property insurance) needed and to complete as much as the preparation paperwork as possible. The manager was very friendly and helpful, ensuring that I understood all the charges I would be paying for (there is a one-time setup fee) and that I either should bring a secure lock or purchase one on site. In fact, I had checked local hardware stores, as well as the “big box” hardware store prices for disk padlocks (recommended over standard ones because they are more secure) and I found CubeSmart’s price to be lower. The manager said that assuming all the information I provided was OK, it would take about 20 minutes to complete the process when we arrived. When we arrived, we reviewed the rental agreement process. The assistant manager was very friendly and efficient, though the online computer system was surprisingly slow. As a result, despite all the preparation, the paperwork process took over 30 minutes. The range of times among the reviews here would suggest this may be a weakness in CubeSmart’s or Store 0540’s processing system that needs upgrading. Once we completed the paperwork, the assistant manager gave us an overview of how to access our storage and showed us to our space. We examined it and tried the lock, which worked fine. We then left to move our property into storage. Store 0540 followed up the next day via email to make sure we had no concerns and I assured them that we were very pleased so far. Customer service seems to be a strong suit of Store 0540 and CubeSmart.

Review: I was bringing all of my stuff from a few locations in NJ and I was not even sure what size unit I would need. By reserving a unit online I got a great deal and when I realized I would have to move in a day later than I thought a quick call to the facility was all it took. When I got to the facility I realized that I wouldn't actually have any time to move my stuff in so the lady working there raced through the paperwork so that I would at least have the unit rented and then I could move in when I was able to. In fact the unit that I rented was a 10 by 15 and it ended up being less expensive than a 10 by 10 that I had been renting in NJ. All in all I am very happy with every part of the process.

Review: I called ahead of time to find out what I needed to bring with me to the office to secure my unit and do paperwork. I showed up to the office only to find out that I needed to bring my lock with me before I could finalize any paperwork. Then I was told that my storage unit had two doors and that I would need to go purchase a second lock. I was upset to be inconvenienced but the price for the unit was more than fair. I was also able to take advantage of a promotional offer which made me forget about the earlier inconvenience. Overall, I am very happy I chose cubesmart storage for my current storage needs.

Review: We have been dealing with the Rosedale, Maryland 21237 facility for about two years. The people who work there could not have done more for us. They were always pleasant (as we witnessed) even when a customer was in the wrong, they defused the situation and made the customer understand and bring things to a positive ending.
