When I arrived at the facility for the first time, the kiosk kept telling me a live agent would be with me shortly but nobody ever came. I had to call to get the correct code and then again to have the tag removed on the unit door. I called back a third time and was told that I could just remove it and that my lock would be inside the unit...there was no lock.

I only reserved a space here because the unit I was reserving said the first month would be free. Low and behold I still was charged the full price for my rental. And when I contacted customer service she said the manager would be calling me and I’m still waiting on that call…

Everything started off good as far as reserving the unit. I received a call after my initial phone conversation with one of the reps and setup an appointment for Saturday May 1st to in order for someone to meet ne at the Facility to go over things in person. I arrived at the Facility on May 1st at 10:00 no one was there I call the number on the door and after at least 15 minutes of holding a customer service rep answered. I explained to her that I had an appointment and no one has shown up. The customer service rep took all the information and informed me to wait a few to see if I receive a call back. I left about 10:25 because no one returned my call. I received a call from the manager later the same day around 3:45. I then set up an appointment for Monday May 3rd between 4:30 and 5pm. I arrived at the Facility at 4:35 I wanted for a few mins. and then called the number that called me on Saturday and spoke with a customer service rep and I explained that I had an appointment and no one has shown up the customer service rep spoke with the manager and she said she had forgotten because they were busy at the eastside location. The customer service rep said she could give me a code to get in a look at the unit and she did answer all my questions. After looking a the unit she took my information in order for me to rent the unit. I did ask her if there would be any discounts on the 2nd months rent and she stated she was not sure because she is not the manager.

Easy set-up. The only problem is finding the right lock to fit the storage unit. The Kiosk was out of locks.

Moving an elderly mom is tough enough but then finding out that one has to wait 3 weeks to actually move into a place requires some temporary housing for her belongings. Very pleased with how this all worked out.

I just moved in so I can't give a full review of the place yet, but so far so good. The staff was helpful and my things seem to be in good care. There were a few spiderwebs in the unit so I'm just hoping they do some spraying regularly so all my boxes aren't covered in webs.

What’s the difference between an indoor and an outdoor unit?An outdoor storage unit is one that has a direct access and usually drive-up accessible. An indoor unit is located within the building.

What items can't be put in a storage unit?

Most storage facilities will not let you store firearms, perishable items, liquids, illegal drugs, flammable and hazardous materials, live animals or plants.

Are my items insured while being in a storage unit?

You are responsible for the items that you store. Storage facility's insurance provides protection for the location that houses the storage units and not the contents of individual storage units. If your homeowner insurance doesn't cover your items, usually the facility manager will help you sign up with an insurance provider.

Can I use my renters insurance for a storage unit?

Anything your renter's insurance policy covers under usual conditions would be covered in your storage unit. Usually, renters insurance will cover items in a unit up to 10% of your policy limits, but the coverage does not include natural disasters. However, there may be exceptions to this, check with your insurance company to see if you're covered.

What do I need to bring with me when to rent a unit?

You will need a government-issued photo ID(driver’s license, state ID or passport) to complete your storage unit rental agreement.

Can I access my unit anytime I want?

Most storage locations are open 365 days a year, but access hours may vary. During access hours, usually between 6am – 10pm seven days a week, you can access your unit by using your individual gate code. During office hours, the company employees are available to answer questions and provide on-site support.

How long can I rent a unit?

Most rental contracts are month-to-month agreements and billed in one-month increments. No long-term lease is required unless the customer requests otherwise.
