Review: Booking process though Sparefoot was simple and to the point. Showed up to the storage facility to find the unit was ready. Paid the fees which include first month $42 insurance $12 admin fee $20 - if you have no lock that's an additional cost as well.

Review: The facility itself is fine, but the staff is very unprofessional, to the point of rude and insulting... So my bf and 2 friends and I went to go check out the storage to see if it would be big enough for all our stuff. We were all exhausted from packing the night before, so we sat down in the unit to take a quick break and discuss how we were going to make everything fit. Well, the girl from the front office came up and proceeded to tell us that there was no "hanging out" in the units and (here's the rude part) she said "I'm just reminding you because I already have a bad feeling about you guys renting this unit". I WAS ABSOLUTELY FLOORED! Instead of introducing herself, she was prejudging us instead?! I just looked at her and said "yeah, me too." Needless to say, we won't be storing there next month.

In short no cart was available for us when we unloaded, and we were too far from entrance to keep checking back given our time constraint. That was quite disappointing.

Review: Booked on a Sunday, and was in and out in 5-10 minutes. The hrs are great for access. Due to traffic on Sunday I barley made it by 3pm and the staff was ready to go home but didn't make me feel as if I couldn't ask whatever questions I needed. I felt terrible for being there just before or right @ 3 but they got me in and out quickly easing my guilt of keeping them late on a Sunday. Thanks to them, I was able to move stuff that night till 10pm.

Review: Place was great, the service was stellar. They were quick to get me in and ready for the day and provided a moving truck for me to bundle all my trips in the day to just one place. One note: If you are looking to rent the truck, ensure there is the amount of gas that the say there is. I unfortunately I gave it good faith that they knew about the slightly lower gas gauge (Even filled it up more than when I first received it) and they hassled me about it for a couple minutes. Overall they were nice gentlemen and were eager to help me out where and when they could.

Review: For far too many years I've been utilizing various storage units and, to date, the CubeSmart facility in Escondido has been the best self-storage experience I've had. They offer a wide range of unit sizes, priced fairly by size, ease of access, and other pertinent options and the office staff are very friendly, personable, and easy to work with. They are all thoroughly familiar with the services they offer, have an excellent work ethic, take obvious pride in their work, and strive to provide the best customer service I've had the pleasure of experiencing in over a decade with ANY business. I appreciate their consistent professionalism, particularly when mine faltered during an extremely stressful recent move; they have office staff available every day with unit access hours extending far before & after regular business hours; the facility is located right off the freeway and is secured; the elevators are positioned conveniently; and they offer high-quality moving supplies on site. Their prices are considerably lower than most, yet the units are actually much larger than any other I've used due to their extraordinary height. Many facilities appear to offer the same size units for rent (5 x 10, 10 x 10, etc), but their ceiling heights vary from 5' - 8'. CubeSmart units have 14' ceilings...a HUGE difference when it comes to cubic feet of storage space provided!

I stopped to request a estimate for a unit and having compare prices and fees I ended up booking a unit right there with no hassle. The only problem I have seen is the carts to move our stuff from our cars to units, especially if in the 2nd floor: there aren't that many and one nightI had to bring my boxes BY HAND up to the second floor!!!!! Also they don't mention the insurance fee is added to your monthly payment ;( Other than that I thought it was a decent business :) Thank you!
